Conference Center

Over the years we’ve had requests from families, specialty groups, and companies looking for a remote site location for a retreat, board meeting, group training or conference. Those requests were the catalyst for envisioning, planning and building the “Musher’s Hall”.

Musher's Hall exteriorThe Kantishna Roadhouse is a small, private lodge and thus our conference center is in keeping with the low-key, unique and intimate nature of things there. It will comfortably accommodate 15 – 25 people, depending on the function and the amount of ‘elbow-room’ needed. The building is located near Moose Creek and has lots of windows and glass doors to let the light and sounds of Mother Nature in while providing a private space.

The center was named the “Musher’s Hall” in honor of our many legendary Alaskan dog mushers—many of whom are Doyon shareholders. Historic photos, memorabilia and biographies decorate the room and you will leave with a newfound appreciation for the men and women of this longstanding Alaskan sport.

Musher's Hall interiorGreat acoustics, a projection wall and other basic presentation tools and equipment are available—but there is no Internet access or teleconferencing capability...this is the wilderness after all!

If you are looking for a remote, wilderness venue that offers meeting space in addition to accommodations, meals and activities, look no further than the Kantishna Roadhouse. Book soon as dates are filling up for the conference center and we are only open from June – September!
