Guest cabins at the Kantishna Roadhouse are the epitome of Alaskan charm and style. Built of Alaska White spruce logs, the cabins are warm, cozy and comfortable.
The Kantishna Roadhouse features two styles of Alaskan cabins in either a log duplex or four-plex. All cabins are furnished with two beds—either two full size or two queen size beds—with down comforters and warm quilts. All cabins have private bathrooms.
Kantishna Roadhouse also features a handicap–accessible cabin that is immaculately decorated and outfitted for travelers that require special accommodations. This cabin is located very close to the main lodge building and is a good choice for guests with limited mobility.
Electricity for the entire Roadhouse property is generated on site by a 100kw diesel generator—making electricity a very expensive and limited commodity that must be carefully conserved. Therefore, hairdryers and electric clocks are not supplied in the cabins. Battery operated alarm clocks are available at the front desk if you forget your travel clock.
There is no radio or television reception at the Roadhouse. There is no internet access. (There is a satellite pay-phone available on the property for out-going calls.) So this is truly your opportunity to experience a few days of absolute peace and quiet—without the constant barrage of daily news, emails, and phone calls. Let your family, friends and business contacts know that you will be “out of range” for a few days while you are immersing yourself in nature.
Our spacious grounds allow our visitors easy access to all of the lodge’s amenities, social areas and dining while maintaining our true wilderness setting and identity.

The Kantishna Roadhouse is located deep in the heart of Denali National Park in the Historic Kantishna mining district. Guests at the Kantishna Roadhouse will enjoy nights spent in comfortable cabin accommodations, and days spent exploring the wonders of Denali Park. Available Denali Park activities include fishing, biking, hiking, flightseeing tours, dog team presentations, gold panning, and demonstrative exhibits featuring Native Alaskan traditions. Since the only access to the Kantishna Roadhouse is the Denali Park Road, which is closed to traffic other than select tour groups, you'll feel like the grandeur of Denali National Park is yours alone to enjoy.
