A Denali Road Poem
Beware of hitchhiking moose, they tell terrible jokes and their humor is obtuse.
Never trust a bear in tights… they usually make for lamentable nights.
Make sure to steer clear of ground squirrels wearing glasses, they’ll pop open your backpack and get away with your snack-sez.
And if you venture as far as Kantishna, pan for big nuggets… and tell em *I* sent ya!
Denali Park’s seasonal pastures yield color that is seldom captured in our daily lives. Color and light reveal themselves in ways that fool and entertain. The same view may change one thousand times per day as the light shifts, clouds gather or a heard of caribou graze throughout the landscape.
